Admissions and entry requirements
Admissions
When considering whether Farnborough is the right place for you to continue your studies, the Admissions Policy is a good place to start.
It is really important to pay particular attention to the on-time application deadline to ensure that, if you do decide to apply, you do so within the set timescales to give you the best chance of securing a place.

We require all students to have achieved at least 5 grade 4s at GCSE level. To access A level courses, students will have mostly achieved grade 5s (or higher) across their GCSEs.
To access our vocational courses, students would generally achieve grade 4 or higher in their GCSEs.
Some subjects have additional specific entry requirements that can be found on the individual course pages.
Entry requirements
In order to be successful in your post-16 studies, you should aim for a strong set of GCSE grades (we call this your grade profile). It’s important that you keep working hard in year 11 and achieve the best possible results as they will influence not only your entry into post-16 studies, but also impact your future study and career options.
We have set our entry requirements to ensure that you have the necessary skill level to succeed – that strong GCSE grade profile is really important!
Detailed information about the entry requirements for each course can be found on the course pages on the College website, so be sure to check.
You can watch a short video about how to make your course choices in the Your Choice section.
